Intelligence.
You know, I think school is unfair.
Not in the whole 'They give too much homework' and 'teachers are unfair' aspect of it.
I think that's fair or else we'd never learn and we'd all be like, big piles of mush on the floor going 'Duhhh' all day like the Holmer Simpson.
I mean in the whole different 'types of intelligence' side to it.
I think schools focus to much on being smart instead of being intelligent.
The word intelligence comes from the latin verb intellegere which means 'to understand'. Therefore, intelligence (being able to understand) is different from being smart, no?
There are lots of different ways to try to define intelligence, such as a person having traits of creativity, wisdom, etc.
I think it's unfair that people always look more towards the academics like maths, english and stuff like that when looking at people. If academically you do poorly then people, you know, seem to look down on you. But shouldn't you also be considered intelligent if your an incredible artist, or sports person, or singer. Aren't they all equally impressive?
Aren't all the different abilities equally important?
I think so.
And seriously, i'm never going to use algebra ever in my life.
Ever.
